VAN BELLE NURSERY is looking for a SECTION LEADER for the Container department in our organization. Main responsibilities will include solid leadership of team production, effective management of all aspects of plant production in their section and productive partnerships with the operations and sales team. The candidate will have supervisory skills, be a self-motivated organizer with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well in English both verbal and written. Some Spanish or willingness to learn would be helpful. Interested individuals must have horticulture work experience and /or education in horticulture. VBN is a rapidly growing wholesale nursery located in Abbotsford, BC.
Are you looking for an exciting career? VAN BELLE NURSERY is looking for an ASSISTANT SECTION LEADER for the Propagation department in our organization. Main responsibilities will include monitoring crops for health and sales growth potential. The candidate will have supervisory skills, be a self-motivated organizer with excellent interpersonal skills . The candidate will also develop and execute trials using the scientific method, collect, process analyze data and evaluate results and their economic value.
Qualifications:
- Must have a 4 year Horticultural degree.
- 3 - 4 years experience in the horticultural ornamental industry.
- Good knowledge of statistic packages for horticulture or agriculture research.
- Experience with plant growth regulators and greenhouse management.
- Spanish communication skills are an asset.
